Abstract

Heron's problem is as follows: In a plane are given two points A and B on the same side of a straight line p. Find the point C on p such that |AC| + |BC| is minimal.

Replacementof constants andvariables inHeron'ssolutions enables to createmodelsof conic sectionsby paper foldingorin a dynamicgeometry.
