Abstract

In this paper, we analyse ways of motivating pupils in physics lessons through an interdisciplinary motivational teaching technique – the history of physics and its discoveries. We then describe the course of a pedagogical experiment which aimed to determine whether the incorporation of historical elements and artefacts into physics teaching at grammar school has an impact on changes in pupils’ attitudes towards the subject and on the scope or level of their knowledge.
