Competence Framework for Teacher Graduates and Real Physics Lessons

Abstract

In this article, the Competence framework for teacher graduates is briefly introduced, which will probably directly or indirectly influence the education of pre-service teachers at Czech universities in the coming years, and may indirectly affect the quality of teaching in schools, including physics lessons. On the one hand, the Framework appropriately draws attention to the complex context in which education (including subject-specific and especially physics) takes place, on the other hand, there is a risk that it will distract (physics) teachers from the core of their field (physics knowledge and skills, attitudes towards physics, and values ​​associated with physics). Two activities for physics lessons are presented: i) mapping of physics knowledge using Excalidraw, and ii) dividing students into groups according to their common interests.
