Interesting Mathematical Problems
Abstract
This regular section presents two new competition problems together with solutions to two problems published in an earlier issue of the journal. Problem 311 concerns the determination of the interior angles of trapezoids that can be divided into two isosceles triangles, while Problem 312 is a combinatorial problem involving the successive colouring of cells in a grid. The second part contains solutions to Problem 307 concerning equal areas of two triangles in a convex hexagon with opposite sides parallel, including an alternative solution. The final Problem 308 investigates circular arrangements of the natural numbers subject to a divisibility condition involving neighbouring numbers and is solved for \(n=2025\) and \(n=2026\). The section also identifies the authors of the individual problems and acknowledges successful solvers.
